Thank you so much, this is exactly what I wanted to make for this winter we have coming here in Australia.
ReplyDeleteI made this hat yesterday and it turned out perfect! The pattern was easy to follow and the hat is really great looking. At least five people will be getting one from me for Christmas this year. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteMade this and the (Lg) Adult size was at least 2 inches around too big, we did confirm Guage when measured. Also used exact yarn. Loved <3 the hat but also thought brim was too long.
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeletewhat does sist mean?

ReplyDeleteWhat does "FLO" mean?
ReplyDeleteIt stands for Front Loop Only.
DeleteWhat does sist mean
ReplyDeleteIt's slst (SLST), and it means slip stitch.
DeleteHow much yarn does it take?
ReplyDeleteLily, this is the first and only time I've ever seen a pattern for a hat with a choice of three sized brings.
ReplyDeleteYou are one fantastic designer --- first, for coming up with this brilliant idea, and second, for implementing it so successfully. Three cheers for you!
The brim actually brings me to my difficulty. I love the Beanie and I'd like to start it right away. However, I would like to crochet the brim (small or medium) all around the hat, not just in the front.
So my first question is this: Do you think that would look silly? Or would it be all right? Now, I don't know if you have the time and space to answer this one, but could you please offer any advice about how I might achieve this? I mean, would it be fine if I just start and keep on going? Or is there anything special I should do?
Keep on designing!
With many thanks in advance ~
Deborah
Sorry, I meant to say, "a hat with a choice of three different sized brims." Confound that SpellChecker!
ReplyDelete~ Deborah
Not sure if this would be what you're looking for or not Deborah but what you're describing sounds like a cloche hat, with the brim all the way around. Hope that helps you
