Free Pattern: Amigurumi Trash Can

Amigurumi trash can is made in joined rounds and is considered an advanced pattern due to techniques used without explanation. Please read the pattern in full before beginning. This pattern has not been tested.

Materials:
E/3.5mm Hook
G/4.0mm Hook
WW yarn in silver or desired color
WW yarn in black (for mouth)
10mm safety eyes
Scissors
Yarn Needle
Polyfil or filling material

Advanced Techniques:

Crochet in Back Loop

Crochet in Third Loop

Front Post Single Crochet

Main Body:

Beginning with E/3.5mm hook 
1. SC 6 in Magic Circle. (6) Slst in first st, ch1.
2. 2sc in each st around (12) Slst in first st, ch1.
3. *2sc, sc in next st* around (18) Slst in first st, ch1.
4. *2sc, sc in next 2 st* around (24) Slst in first st, ch1.
5. *2sc, sc in next 3 st* around (30) Slst in back loop and third loop of first st, ch1.
6. Sc in back loop and third loop of same st. SC in back loop and third loop around (30) slst in first st. ch1.

Switch to G/4.0mm hook
8-16. *SC in next st, fpsc in next* around. (30) slst in first st. ch1.

Switch to E/3.5mm hook
17. SC around. (30) slst in flo of first st.
18. Ch10, sk6, slst in flo of next st. Sc in blo of next 8. Slst in flo of next st, ch10, sk6, SC in blo of next 8. Slst in free blo of first st of prev rnd. Ch2
19. HDC in free back loop of next 8, SC in both loops of next 7, HDC in free back loop of next 8, SC in both loops of next 7, slst to first HDC.
20. slst around
f/o, weave in ends. 

Optional: Add safety eyes and embroider mouth.

Lid:

With E/3.5mm hook

1. SC 6 in Magic Circle. (6) Slst in first st, ch1.
2. 2sc in each st around (12) Slst in first st, ch1.
3. *2sc, sc in next st* around (18) Slst in first st, ch1.
4. *2sc, sc in next 2 st* around (24) Slst in first st, ch1.
5. *2sc, sc in next 3 st* (30) Slst in back loop and third st of first st, ch1.
6. Sc in back loop and third loop of same st. SC in back loop and third loop around (30) slst in first st. ch1.
7. slst around (30) Slst in first st.
F/O, leave very long tail for sewing.

Lid Handle:

With E/3.5mm hook
Leaving long tail for sewing, attach with slst between r2&r3. Ch 6, leave long tail for sewing. Attach in r2&r3 opposite of where attached. F/o, weave in ends.
Optional: Sew lid to top of body, using loops from R6 of lid and r20 of body.

It's been a very long time since I've crocheted, let alone created a pattern. But inspiration struck while considering a gift for a friend, and of course I couldn't find a pattern for what I wanted to make. So here's our favorite SCP, The Tickle Monster!

Materials:
E/3.5mm Hook
WW yarn in orange
WW yarn in black
10mm safety eyes
Scissors
Yarn Needle
Polyfil or filling material

Body:
1. 6sc in Magic Circle (6)
2. 2sc in each st around (12)
3. *2sc in next st, sc in next st* around (18)
4. *2sc in next st, sc in next 2 st* around (24)
5. *2sc in next st, sc in next 3 st* around (30)
6-17. sc in each st around (30)
Attach eyes between r8 and r9.

Embroider mouth.
18. *sc2tog in blo, sc 3 in blo* around (24)
19. *sc2tog, sc in next 2 st* around(18)
stuff
20. *sc2tog, sc in next st* around (12)
21. sc2tog around (6)
F/O and close. Weave in ends.
Attach yarn to FLO of last stitch of rnd 21, *SC in nxt 4, 5dc in next* around. Sc in remaining st, slst to first st.

Arms:
1. 6sc in Magic Circle (6)
2. SC around (6)
3. *2sc in next st, sc in next 2 st* around (8)
4-6. SC around (8)
F/O leave long tail to attach arms.
