Free Pattern: Mac Kazoo

Here I am with another Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends pattern! My daughter was super excited about this one!

Mac is made in the continuous round. Please read the pattern in full before beginning. Feel free to contact me for any questions you may have.

Materials:
G/4.25mm Hook
WW yarn in Brown
WW yarn in Tan
WW yarn in Black
WW yarn in White
WW yarn in Soft Green or Khaki (for pants)
WW yarn in Dark Green
Black Embroidery Thread (optional)
Safety Eyes (optional)
Scissors
Yarn Needle
Polyfil or filling material

Eyes Make 2 in White.
Round 1: 6sc in Magic Circle (6)
Round 2: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st* around (9)
Slst in first sc, ch1 and F/O, leaving tail for sewing.
If you're using safety eyes, prepare the eyes by placing the safety eyes through whites in desired location.

Head Starting in Brown
Round 1: 6sc in Magic Circle
Round 2: 2sc in each st around (12)
Round 3: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st* around (18)
Round 4: *sc in next 2st, 2sc in next st* around (24)
Round 5: *sc in next 3st, 2sc in next st* around (30)
Round 6: *sc in next 4st, 2sc in next st* around (36)
Round 7-8: sc around (36) Switch to Tan in last st.
Round 9-15: sc around (36)
Round 16: *sc2tog, sc in next 4 st* around (30)
Round 17: *sc2tog, sc in next 3 st* around (24)
Round 18: *sc2tog, sc in next 2 st* around (18)
If using safety eyes, place the safety eye in the front about 6 below the brown hair line. Begin stuffing here.
Round 19: *sc2tog, sc in next st* around (12)
Continue with neck.

Neck
Round 20-21: sc around (12) Switch to red in last sc.
Continue with body.

Body
Round 22: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st* around (18)
Round 23-28: sc around (18) Switch to soft green or khaki color in last sc.
Continue with legs.

Legs
Round 29a: sc in next 9. sc in 1st sc of round 29.
Round 29b: sc around (10)
Round 30-33: sc around (10) Switch to black in last sc.
Continue with foot.

Foot
Round 34: sc in next 4 st, 2sc in next 4 st, sc in next 2st (14)
Round 35: sc around (14) Switch to white in last sc.
Round 36: sc around (14)
Stuff leg.
Round 37: sc2tog in BLO (7)
F/O, weave tail through last round, pull to close. Weave in ends.
For second leg, attach soft green yarn with sc in the same st as other leg.
Sc around, placing 10th st in center st made by 1st leg.
Repeat rounds 30-37. Note: Round 34 will be worked as: 2sc in next 4 st, sc in next 6 st.
Hair in Brown.
Long Bangs: Make 2
ch5. sc in 2nd ch from hook. HDC in last 3. F/O, leave tail for sewing

Short Bangs: Make 2
ch4. sc in 2nd ch from hook. HDC in last 2. F/O, leave tail for sewing

Long hair in back: Make 1
Ch25
Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and across (24) ch1, turn.
Row 2-6: sc across (24) ch1, turn.
Row 7: sc2tog, sc to last 2, sc2tog (22) ch1, turn.

Hair Border:
2sc in corner, slst across. 2sc in corner, slst up side. sc across, slst down side. slst in first sc made.
Arms Make 2, starting in Tan.
Round 1: 4sc in Magic Circle (4)
Round 2: sc around (4) Switch to White in last sc.
Round 3-4: sc around (4) Switch to Red in last sc.
Round 5-8: *sc2tog, sc in next st* around (4)
F/O, leaving tail for sewing.

Backpack in Dark Green.
Round 1: 6sc in Magic Circle (6)
Round 2: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st* around (9)
Round 3: sc around in BLO (9)
Round 4-5: sc around (4)
Round 6-8: sc in next 4 st (4) ch1, turn.
Add another row or two if you want this to be functional. Add a small buttonhole by chaining and skipping a stitch or two.
F/O. If desired, add button if making a functional backpack.

Backpack Straps in Black
ch10, leaving long tail for sewing. Sew to backpack and body.

Assembly
Attach arms to sides.
Long bangs go in center of the forehead, with short bangs on either side. Large hair piece goes in back.
If not using safety eyes, embroider pupils on with worsted weight yarn.
Embroider on facial details with black worsted weight yarn, or embroidery thread.

Free Pattern: Blooregard Q. Kazoo (aka Bloo)

My daughter's been watching a lot of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends lately, can you tell? Bloo seemed the easiest imaginary friend to create, so here he is! My Bloo is 3.5 inches in height.

(Optional: Beads or beans)

Eyes Make 2 in White.
Round 1: 4sc in Magic Circle(4)
Round 2: 2sc in each st around (8)
Slst in first sc, ch1 and F/O, leaving tail for sewing.
Prepare eyes by placing the safety eyes through whites in desired location. I chose to offset them from the center.

Body in Blue.
Round 1: 6sc in Magic Circle
Round 2: 2sc in each st around (12)
Round 3: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st* around (18)
Round 4: *sc in next 2st, 2sc in next st* around (24)
Round 5: *sc in next 3st, 2sc in next st* around (30)
Round 6-19: sc around (30)
Add more rounds if you want a taller Bloo.
Round 20: In BLO, sc around (30)
Round 21: *sc2tog, sc in next st* around (20)
Place prepared eyes' safety eye through the space between rounds 8&9 and 4-6 st apart, depending on where you placed the safety eye. Sew on using tail.
Round 22: *sc2tog* around (10)
Stuff, adding beads or beans for a little heft, if desired.
Round 23: *sc2tog* around (5)
F/O, closing hole. Weave in ends.

Arms Make 2 in Blue.
Round 1: 6sc in Magic Circle
Round 2: *sc in next st, 2sc in next st* around (9)
Round 3-5: sc around (9)
Round 6: *sc2tog, sc in next st* around (6)
Round 7: sc around (6)
F/O, leaving tail for sewing. Attach top to round 11 of the body.
